  • Cornish Energy Committee Educational Forum: Ways to Manage Household Electric Loads without Upgrading Service

NEED TO INCREASE YOUR ELECTRIC SERVICE CAPACITY? CHECK THIS OUT FIRST! An Educational Forum brought to you by the Cornish Energy Committee: Ways to manage household electric loads without upgrading service

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 7-8:30pm via Zoom only.  PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: LINK

As we electrify homes — adding heat pumps, electric vehicles, induction stoves, solar panels, and more — it can strain a home’s electric power supply and electric panel space. Find out about ways to manage large electric loads and possibly avert costly service upgrades.

    Learn about:

    • Smart panels
    • Circuit splitters
    • Low-power appliances
    • Energy monitoring devices & more

Presenter: Matt Christie works in the Advanced Energy Practice at TRC where he develops programs in energy efficiency, decarbonization & electrification.

    Please email with any questions.

Meetings are held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at the Town Offices.

Meetings are open to the public. There is a Zoom option for those who wish it.

Mission Statement

The Cornish Energy Committee takes local steps to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Goal

Our goal is to achieve 100% renewably-sourced electricity by 2030 and 100% renewably-sourced heating, transportation, and all other energy needs by 2050.
